Was A HUGE Success!
A huge thanks goes out to each and everyone of
you that drove out to the OCC showroom for the
show.
There are a lot of photos that have been posted
on the MySpace and many more will be posted once
the actual episode has aired. The OCC family was
very gracious and amazing and it couldn't of been
a better experience. All of the Warriors that
came out for the concert helped to make it one
of the P.O.D. events that will go down in history
as one of the greatest. Once we have an air date
for the episode we will let everyone know.

Up!
Don't stop calling in those stations, a lot of
people are feeling the song and its getting added
to stations left and right. We know some of you
are still trying to get your station to play it,
don't give up. Just be patient and remember to
get those calls in, and encourage others in your
area to do it without being pushy or demanding.
Keep The Laurie Family
In Prayer
Many of you have already been keeping them in
your prayer, but for those that don't know Greg
Laurie's son Christopher
Laurie passed away in a fatal car accident.
Greg Laurie is the Pastor of Harvest in Riverside,CA
this ministry puts on the Harvest Crusades that
we have the blessing to be apart of. This years
Harvest Crusade will be taking place next weekend.
Christopher was very involved at Harvest and we
not only want to remember him and keep his family
in prayer but honor his life, by helping spread
the love that he also spread. So please come out
to Angel Stadium in Anaheim on August 16th for
a free P.O.D. show and bring as many people as

Hello Warriors!

Tim Pacheco Benefit
We know everyone has been keeping Tim in their
prayers, as we told you a few weeks back. Tim
Pacheco found out he was born with only one kidney
earlier this year. And has been in and out of
the hospital. He is currently waiting a kidney
transplant and as you can imagine the medical

Hello Warriors, things have been so busy lately
that the P.O.D. Promotions Crew emails and P.O.D.
Update emails have been combined but today this
email is specifically for all of you that have
spent the last few months promoting all things
P.O.D. so a huge thank you goes out first and
foremost. The guys say it all the time and they
know without a doubt that the only reason they
exist and do what they do is because of you guys.

Touring News
We know that many of your questions revolve around
when is P.O.D. going on tour and when are they
coming to ...(insert your city)...there are a
few summer radio festivals still on the schedule
that you can catch. Check out the details below.
But the band is in talks for some major touring
late summer/early fall and though we can not give
details right now our international warriors will
be very very happy!

Tomorrow the band will tape Carson Daly in Burbank,
CA the show won't air until Thursday so be sure
to tune in. There are also plans on broadcasting
the behind the scenes stuff tomorrow. Not the
actual show of course but some backstage things.

during the day tomorrow or better yet log in and
favorite the channel so that you will get notified
once the broadcast begins.

Warriors,
Can you believe that May is already here the last
month has had us completely busy. It was a blessing
to catch up with many of you. As the summer begins
we hope to connect with many more of you. We have
a quick list of news items to go over, so lets
get right to it.
P.O.D. On The Tonight
Show This Wednesday May 7th
We will be performing "Tell Me Why"
at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, we know that
many So Cal Warriors stood in line and were bummed
to find out we were unable to make the show on
release day. Would love to see some Warriors out
in the audience, other guests will include former
President Jimmy Carter and from The Office, Jenna
Fischer.
Addicted Video
The Addicted video is popping up in various places,
an edited for TV version is now on MTV2 and will
be released to MTVU on Monday. It is also being
featured on a few radio
stations websites. You can still see the UNEDITED
version on both YouTube/ThePODChannel
and MySpace.
We have an exclusive inside look
into the video as Michael Maxxis gives his Directors
Commentary on "Addicted".
P.O.D. Addicted music
video symbolism "The song’s message is quite succinctly
and directly defined in its name, and I wanted
to actualize an array of interpretable images
that would symbolically scream it. And, to augment
the metaphoric vignettes, I felt it was critical
to film a performance that was as visually ferocious
as the track.
Some of the imagery in the video is obvious and
doesn’t need much explanation, but there
are definitely some sections that are quite cryptic,
which I would like to decode for you. To start,
the woman wearing the veil and holding the light
orb is a sort of fortuneteller bookend. She holds
the crystal ball that is granting us access to
the unhinged and off center imagery.
The first place she takes us is into the basement
where a man is seducing and then devouring raw
eggs. He is caressing and appreciating the unborn/unknown
and once he gets a taste, he consumes everything
that is placed in front of him – the yoke
of one egg drips down his face while he reaches
for another – he can’t get enough
and needs more before even finishing eating what’s
still in his mouth. This is symbolic in a very
broad sense to many addictions. We tip toe on
the fringes, kicking the tires of curiosity, but
once we can’t resist the temptation anymore,
we take that step and more often than not we are
eaten by quicksand.
The next vignette we are introduced to is the
little boy smoking a cigarette next to a man’s
needle injected thigh that pumps the pedal of
a stationary bike. This vignette is easier to
interpret, and is basically calling out today’s
role models. Kids look up to both their parents
and a myriad of other role models that are placed
in front of them via the internet, television,
radio, etc., and unfortunately, many of those
role models are poisonous – and you know
the ones I’m talking about.
The third vignette is the obese man lying on a
large pile of fish. This sequence carries great
biblical symbolism and was inspired by Luke 5:6:
"And when they had done this, they caught
a great number of fish, and their net was breaking."
We are addressing one of the most abhorrent tendencies
of human nature – greed. Fish were a staple
of Galilee, and therefore it became a mechanism
of power. Greed is perhaps the most dangerous
and common addiction on earth, and it is perhaps
the most overlooked.
The old dying lady on crutches is our only real
taste of reality in the video, which is why I
feel she is so important. She is on the end of
a very hard, painful, and lonely journey that
is a consequence of choice – poor choices
that she made. This is a real end that is all
too common for many of us.
Next up is the young girl imprisoned behind a
brick wall, dancing in bubbles blown onto her
by a crazy old woman. We are saying with this
vignette that our children must start life from
behind a brick wall that we already built before
they were born. When someone falls victim to addiction,
the effects are far reaching, and nothing is more
unfair and sad than the consequences inflicted
on the lives of their children. Then, all that
child has is her dreams and the reality that exists
when she closes her eyes.
The symbolism of the evil barber is quite similar
to the little girl dancing in bubbles. In this
scene a masked barber cuts away at a young girl’s
hair with a large knife. The barber represents
addiction itself, as it cuts away at the innocence
of youth.
Finally, we have the beautiful women in wheelchairs.
Perhaps one of the most distasteful and damaging
addictions is vanity, and the weight that is placed
on women to be physically beautiful. The psychological
effects that this pressure has on many women is
immeasurable, and needs to be stopped. Where does
our definition of beauty begin and where does
it end? Unfortunately, it very rarely stops inside
a person, and therefore many peoples’ sense
of self is diminished and marginalized by how
they look in the mirror (from head to toe!). I
wanted the viewer to be attracted to, and dazzled
by the women when they were only shown shots of
her face, and then I wanted the viewer to be conscious
of how they felt about her when it was revealed
that she is crippled. Does their attraction to
her change? Where is the line on beauty drawn?
In summation, I’d like to thank P.O.D. for
giving me the opportunity to work with them to
bring this video to life. It was an absolute pleasure
to work with such inspired artists and genuine
men. Not one interesting visual would have been
possible had it not been for the sincerity that
I was able to draw from the song.

We just got back from spending the last couple
weeks hitting up radio stations, we know many
of you tuned in to the Justin.TV broadcasts and
watched the Acoustic OnSlaught Tour. But it was
a great run and even though each radio station
had small studios we want to thank all Warriors
that were able to show up and hang out for a little
while. Be sure to check out highlights of the

As always nothing but love goes out to
you and every Warrior who enables us to do what
we love and encourages us along the way. We could

He shared the stage with us for many events

trumpet, and keys. He is very sick right now,
and just got out of the hospital and has some

be launching a "Warriors III" tour....
THIS FALL 2008!!

in joining them on what will no doubt be one of
the most exciting tours of the Fall!

P.O.D.'s 4th Top 10 Billboard Debut, We had no
idea that a Top 10 debut was in the cards, but
the Warriors have shown up and blessed us like
never before.
You are more than fans.... you know that this
is about family..... P.O.D. continue to be here
to serve you with all of our hearts and energy.
Every bit of heart, soul, and blood we have was
poured into making WAASD. We are re-united band,
blessed to be here, and ready to build on all
that God has trusted us with.

Sonny to make rare personal
appearance! (This Sunday)
This morning Sonny, Marcos, Traa, and Wuv board
a plane to begin a 25-city radio promotion tour.
The boys will be visiting stations across the
U.S. and even playing "Tell Me Why"
at select stations.
During the tour, Sonny has agreed to make a rare
personal appearance to share his story.
"Sonny has expressed interest in making some
select personal appearances this year," said
long-time manager, Tim Cook. "Sonny has so
much good will out there. I think people getting
a chance to hear his story, up front and personal,
is going to be hugely inspiring."

Family,
First off the overwhelming response to WA&SD
has been amazing. Listening to your voice messages,
reading your comments, and iTunes reviews has
been refreshing. Keep them coming! We will be
sending out a Hard Rock Cafe tour wrap up next
week, complete with photos, reviews and details.
But we want to thank every Warrior that came out
and supported, making this the most successful
set of charity events the Hard Rock has EVER done.

Pretty sure some of you ran into problems trying
to purchase the new album on iTunes
last night and today, but the purchase issue is
now fixed! "When Angels & Serpents Dance"
now available on iTunes
and stores nationwide. If you purchase the album
on iTunes you will get the iTunes
exclusive track "Don't Fake it".
This song has a bit of history because this is
the first song the re-united P.O.D. (Sonny,Marcos,Wuv,Traa)
wrote together during the "When Angels &
Serpents Dance" writting sessions. Once you've

P.O.D. is challenging YOU to a game of Madden
'08 via a special event called Xbox Live Game
With Fame on April 11. Xbox Live Gold members

Release Day Is Here! After months and months of
preparation the album Warriors have been waiting
for is finally on store shelves. Pick up the album,

Leno Postponed
Sonny's voice is completely out, the last few
days he'd been trying to save up his voice as
much as he could as it started going out the last
couple days of the tour. By the end of the evening
Monday his voice was blown. Please pray that his
voice/throat will heal soon. Leno has been postponed
as a result. We thank our family for all the love
and prayers whenever we're in need!

Merry Christmas Warriors! We know everyone is
